Bedding: at least 25cm for dwarfs, and 30cm for Syrians. The bedding should be either paper bedding, such as carefresh or kaytee clean ‘n cozy. You can also use safe woods, such as hemp (layered with hay) or aspen (this holds bedding well enough to be by itself.
wheel:
Dwarf: at least 25 cm, preferably cork
Syrian: at least 30cm, preferably cork
sand baths: at least 20x20 cm and 5cm deep. No bird sand please :)
accessories: Gotta have a multichamber hide, having grapevine wood in your cage is recommended, since it provides entertainment for your little hammy and is very natural. At least 3 hides apart from the multichamber hide, because hamsters are naturally... hidey creatures. At least one platform in the cage provides somewhere for your hammy to survey their kingdom, and also provides a useful spot to plonk your food and water. Moss is good for having a different texture underfoot, but it has to the right kind.
